I need opinions about BM's

I need opinions about BM's

If one of your BM's could not be part of the BP for any reason, would you ask someone else to take their place? Not sure of the etiquette on this.

I think it would depend on how close it is to your wedding and if the 'substitute' BM knew they were a replacement...

It depends on how close to the wedding it is, whether or not the dresses are ordered, and whether or not the girl I asked would feel slighted she wasn't asked to begin with.

I agree w/ what Darlene said above.

I had this happen to me in February (5 months b4 our wedding) but 7 months after we asked the bp & had our eparty and I decided NOT to ask someone else (although initially I wanted to). My best friend found out she was pregnant & couldn't fly up here & so I was going to ask someone else but felt they'd feel 2nd choice.

I see your wedding is in Aug....personally I think thats cutting it very close

The girl was originally part of the line up but did not have the money to order the dresses when we needed to (the dress was being discontinued in Dec '05 and she was unemployed). The dresses are in and she is around the same size as the other girl. She has a job now. I would have helped her out financially at the time if I could, it was just an impossibility at the time. What do you think?
