i need opinions pls!

i am getting married on 4/12/08, during the day
do you think i need a shawl or bolero??
i didnt think i needed one at first, but it has been cool out!

i ran to davids last night and bought a satin shawl to match my dress...do you think that is good enough or should i try to have it made into a bolero last minute!! ??

i feel like it will be annoying to carry around....i hope i dont need it, but if it is a bolero it would be easier, then i can just slip it on if i need it.....although i am running out of time, and i have other things to get done too!

it is very long though (i am only 5 feet)....so it needs to be shortened for me

they have boleros also...white and ivory, only my dress is a little darker than ivory so i couldnt get one of those

you have more time though so you could prob order something if you need to

if it's for your ceremony i would recommend a bolero instead. It may be a pain to hold up while walking down the aisle....esp if you have a BOK in your hands

my friend is getting married during the day on the 12th, too!!

i don't know what the bride is wearing though, since I'm friends with the groom

will you be taking photos outside? if not, then you really don't need much if you're just going between buildings.

Also, see if you can maybe borrow a bolero from a past bride rather than spend more $ on something you're likely to only wear for a couple of hours at most.

we plan to take some photos outside....unless of course it rains (knock on wood)

i really wanted the look of the dress without a shawl or bolero for the photos....but what if it is unreasonably cold out that day! i dont know if I could take it! i already bought a shawl, but i am not crazy about it....the satin makes it somewhat bulky, i feel like it will just annoy me and get in the way

I dont even know when i have time to go somewhere to see if they can turn it into a bolero, and i have no idea how much it will be....i'd rather not spend the $, but i also dont want to regret it and freeze my a** off, lol

Personally I would get a shawl (I am not a fan of bolero's). I will have one for my Nov. 1 wedding and I only plan on wearing if we are stading around and in the limo I am not wearing it in any pictures.

I think of 4/12 a shawl will be good on an as need basis but you should be ok taking some pictures outside without it.

Honestly I wouldn't bother with spending the money on it I had a little jacket that my MIL bought me and I only wore it for like 10 minutes cause I wanted the pictures to show my dress not the jacket. We took pictures on 2/29 on the beach and I wasn't that cold I think I was just so excited that I didn't even feel the weather!

i dont know why i am getting so worked up over this...i feel like i am going to cry over a freaking bolero that i dont have, lol...if my dress was white it would make things so much easier, but it is a dark ivory/antique color, and white and ivory dont match it!

yeah, i agree...i wouldnt want to wear it in any pictures...but you know how they take 'photojournalistic shots?' there might end up still being a few pics where i have my shawl on....i just wish i liked the damn thing....but it's so thick!...it's nonreturnable though so i have no choice....i really dont want to spend the $ for something else, thanks for your thoughts

Thanks! Don't worry I think I cried like everday the week before the wedding from stress! But once your day is here you wont even remember any of the stress!
