How do you ladies keep track of everything? I have appointments to see 3 reception halls, 1 appointment for a photographer and I'm already lost!
And once I start booking, what is the best way to keep everything in order?
Thanks girls....I'm LOST!

Re: I need ORDER!
I write all appts. down in my organizer and then I also have a separate notebook that I carry around that I write all appts. in. In the back of the 'wedding notebk' I write any wedding ideas or cute ideas I come across throughout the day.

Re: I need ORDER!
Here's how I've started:
I bought a big accordion file folder for all of my contracts and official paperwork.
I bought a notebook that fits into my smallest day bags and I carry it around wiht me everywhere. This is the notebook where I write down absolutely anything wedding related: phone numbers, vendor names, ideas, appointments, notes from appointments. And then all appts go into my palm pilot and my scheduler at work so that I can't double book myself.
So far, this has worked for me. Hope this helps!

Re: I need ORDER!
I have a calendar I keep in my pocketbook, one that is on my desk @ home, and one on my desk @ work - everything is written in all 3 so I don't forget. It does get overwhleming, but somehow I haven't forgotten any appointments! It also calms down after the hall and photographers are booked - those are the biggies.

Re: I need ORDER!
Thank you alll!......I'm focusing on my Pastor, reception and photographer. So far I know that reception and photographer are available the same date and I have an appointment with my Pastor on Monday. After that appointment I'll know his availability I'll work it from there.
You girls are AWESOME..........I'm OFFICIALLY PLANNING MY WEDDING

Re: I need ORDER!
I have an Excel sheet with the vendors that I booked and every deposit date and amount. On the bottom it totals all the money that I've spent so far. Then for my birthday my FH bought me a wedding planner that you can fill in with all the info about your vendors and payments. I love it because it fits into your bag and has helpful hints also. It's broken down into different sections for all the vendors. Also I keep appointments on my palm pilot so that I have daily reminders. You can get a small date book from Michaels for a dollar and just write all your appointmets in.

Re: I need ORDER!
I put the Guest List on Excel with a seperate sheet for each perosn's guests (i.e. me, FH, my parents and FIL's) and I am also keeping track of engagement presnets and thank you's on Excel...
For everything else, I have a big binder with all my stuff...and a bug shopping bag of all the mail I get everyday since I signed up on LIW :)
The binder seems to work good b/c when I see something from a mag I like or on teh interent I print it/rip it out and hole punch it...

Re: I need ORDER!
When I started looking at halls, I used Wedding Sites & Services magazine. I used a post-it to mark each place I wanted to see. I used regular looseleaf paper to make a list of each day and where I was going. When I got home, I put notes on the post-it (like forget it, or bring FH back to see). Each place generally gave me a folder with all their info in it, which at the time I just kept in a pile. Once we booked our hall, I used my work day planner to write down all appointments. I also threw away all info from vendors I didn't book.
FH has an excel spredsheet which has all vendor info, including names, phone numbers and payment schedules. I have all the paperwork in a LIW bag I got at a showcase.
