Hmm, have you considered maybe doing a wedge? I was worried about this, too, but the dress I ended up with is light as a feather! These are wedge shoes that I loooooooooove (Hale Bob 'Kelsey') and the second are my actual day of shoes (Martinez Valero 'Candy')! HTH!
The website says they're 4.25inches high but when I measured, they were only 3.5inches. I love them! I've had them on a couple times and I'm soooo happy with my choice!

try a heel with a little bit of a platform, they always seem more sturdy and handle shock better

What kind of shoe are you wearing?? I am also worried about accidentally stepping on the lace part of our girl.
I can so see that happening to me. Getting the sexy, thin, higher heel. And then sometime through the night seeing me stepping on the lace part, getting stuck onto the heel, ripping, and me falling! Oooo the wonderful wedding nightmares we get to have, lol
These are really pretty, Not too high, simple, elegant and dyable if you want to wear them again!

This is something like what my girls are wearing! Same color too! I was going with the pink too, but once again MOTHER PUT HER TWO CENTS IN and was not liking the idea

I haven't chosen a shoe yet but i definitely agree with you. I think a nice sturdy shoe is in order with our Sabelle.
On another note, are you wearing a veil? I like fingertip veils, but I hate that a veil will cover all the goregeous beading in the back of the dress....
ETA: I wanted to wear colored shoes too (blue), but mom and FH quickly vetoed that idea!!

Yes def wearing a veil, but only for the ceremony! I am doing a finger tip veil but they are making my blusher shorter so that doesnt happen with the front (cover the amazing detail) as I walk down the isle.

im thinking something like these.... i cant really buy shoes until my dress comes in and see how big of a heel i can get.
