Ok, sooooo I am so not girly girl and I kind of know nothing about makeup. I have a friend who is willing to do my makeup on the day of my wedding for cheap. She works at Macys for Mac & Dior. When i got my trial done by her she used all different kinds of name brands. Does it matter if she doesn't use Mac etc? Will cover girl etc still last all day? And, I was reading that some make up artist use a photo spray finish which she didn't have. She said that when you use hair spray that also sets your makeup....I just am not sure if i should by this photo finish spray? And, i also found a photo finish primer by smashbox that i was going to buy....is this necessary?
She did my make up awesome, and i really liked it. I am just scared it won't last all day. I think I am just over reacting because I am so use to make up artists promoting how they only use MAC, or some other brand.

Did it last the whole day of your trial? I don't think the brands matter, as long as it works. My girl didn't use the finish spray and my trial lasted all day and I had it on for engagement pictures so I know it photographs well.

yeah it lasted the entire night but i did notice it starting to fade, but i think thats because i told her to go a few shades darker on the foundation (which made it more noticeable) because when i get married i plan on being tan so i wanted to see what it would look like.

If your friend going to be at your wedding? Maybe if she's there you can have her do a quick touch up.

I wouldn't get too hung up on the brands as long as it looked great and lasted.
