I need some help...

So, FH and I have been going back and forth about that stupid 'our song' thing. I thought we had this covered, but he of course, begs to differ. I was going to use the song that we met too, kissed too, dance too, etc. That song is actually All this time by Sylver. Yes, its a club song, but there is a very nice slower version that I found to be nice. Well thats not gonna cut it with FH now. NOPE. So for the past 2 nights, FH and I have been invading Itunes, looking for songs that we may like. I also liked U2's with or without you. It really is so nice, and it suits us. But FH didn't want it. Than I suggested these and he poo pood on them all:

Underneath it all- No Doubt
Lucky- Jason Maraz and Colby Coliet
Black and Gold- Sam Sparro
With or Without You- U2
I only have eyes for you- From a Bronx Tale
Iris- goo goo dolls

Can any of you suggest any song that I could suggest to him? I really want to choke him over this. He is sooooooooooooooooooo Annoying!

I know finding a song can be hard. I actually had my wedding song picked out before I met FH and he agreed to the song that I really wanted without much of a problem.
What kind of music do you like to listen to? Do you have a favorite band? Maybe you can use one of your parents wedding songs if you can't agree on one? What about Just the Way You Are by Billy Joel? or check some DJ websites for popular wedding songs. I know Body Rock has a list on their website.

Ours is probably going to be Angel by Aerosmith. It has relevance from our first date, and we're both HUGE Aerosmith fans.

GREAT SONG!! I love Aerosmith too!! My mom is obsessed with them she even has their symbol as a tatoo. I grew up listening to everything of theirs. We will def have some Aerosmith at our wedding too

i actually never heard of black and gold until you told me about it on another post. i love it!

what kind of song does FH want? a slow song? does he want to ballroom dance with you?

Thanks! Actually, if it weren't for that song, we probably wouldn't still be together (story to come another day). We're big 80's rock people. So our wedding will have lots of Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, and Van Halen. Then of course all the regular party music too

I LOVE Sinatra's 'The Way You Look Tonight'

The problem is, I know exactly what I want, I don't think he does and than he gets frustrated and stuff because I get pissed that he keeps shooting down my ideas. I mean, I must have went through every website, every itune essential list, every song on my playlist, and all the ones I love and remind me of us he shoots down.

Like I only have eyes for you... how romantic would that be and wouldn't it go with the theme? BUTTTTTTT NOooooooooooOOOOOOOoooooo his excuse is that it was one of his parents songs. How many songs did his parents have? I am sure they would want to share!

Ohhhh and I love love love U2's with or without you. He literally was like, I don't think its a good song... what??!! Its describes our relationship perfectly!

See I am not a mushy mushy person and anything that screams LOVE makes me kind of embarassed and stuff. I wanted something nice and different and charming. He doesn't know what he wants, and thats why he keeps fighting with me over it. But its Just a SONG. Lord help me... give me strenght lol

You have sooooo much time to pick a song, I would try this, just tell FH to keep listening to songs on the radio or wherever, and everytime he hears something he likes, write it down. You should do the same. Then in a few month, get together with your lists and you will have to agree on something.

This is what FH & I did, bc like you, we were ready to strangel each other. Then all of a sudden, one night in the car, FH said 'o this would be a great wedding song' and I said 'i love it! done!'

That sounds like a great time!! We too are having some classic 80's rock, my wedding just wouldn't be complete without 'Living on a Prayer', and 'Pour Some Sugar on Me'

maybe you guys need a break from the songs for a bit. just tell him to listen out for songs and you can discuss again in a few weeks...

OK Black and Gold is my favorite song. Its so croonerish, I love the lyrics and its very poetic without being overly mushy. He says he doesn't know about it. But its so nice!!!

I believe he is describing the night sky with stars, and how they are perfect for each other and meant to be that way. Its subtle without screaming I love you...

make him listen to it. i never heard of it until i found a video on youtube. i was like whoa, this song is GOOD!

...it made me kinda wish my colors were black and gold.....
