I used to be REALLY good friends with a girl from college. The problem was that whenever she would meet a guy, she's disappear off the earth. She was dating one guy for 2 years and I met him once and spoke to her maybe 5 times during that time. She SWORE it was ALL HIM when they broke up. Then she began dating another guy. About 2 years now I guess. SAME STORY...I met him ONCE when they first started dating, and I only speak to her once in a while if I CALL HER!!! ...Now they are getting married in Vegas next month on a wednesday. We're not going to the wedding, but I feel like I should send a gift.
What is appropriate??
Also, tonight is the bachelorette party and I already said I'd go, but I SOOOOO DO NOT want to go. I'm only gonna know her and her sister. I dont even feel like I have that much in common with the bride anymore anyway.
Should I just $uck it up and go???

Re: Repost from 2006- OOT wedding...Need your help!!
Thats tricky. As for the gift, I'd say yea, probably send one. But as for tonight, I'm terrible because I tend to back out of things BUT THAT IS COMPLETELY WRONG. I would say if you made a commitment to go then you'll probably have to go but make sure to drive separately so you can leave when you 'need' to.

Thats what I was thinking, drive separately...
BUT, yesterday was my sisters (MOH) birthday and my family is going out to dinner (I'll miss it)
and
FH and I were invited to FIL's for dessert for his cousins (groomsman) birthday too.
I've been trying to think of a GOOD EXCUSE to back out!
How much $$ should I send for a wedding in Vegas that I'm not going to??

Re: I need some help girls!!!
I think you're better off sending something off the registry since you're not going. Did she register? If you're going ahead with money, I'd say $75-$100, if you can swing it.
