I need some help! I am not city savvy........

I need a few places I can take my family when we go into the city.

I would like to take them to iconic places where we can make an entrance, hang for a bit and leave.

For instance, Hogs and Heiffers

Now this may not be the taste of some of you, but my family will LOVE it

I beg of you, please send me info on hot spots for drinks, dinner, caberet, quirky places that are so NY etc

I have no interest in doing touristic things with my family, we have done so much times square and NYC tourist restaurants etc.

We have been to Carmines, mars 2112, Juniors, a few diufferent brasserie's and a lot of rockefeler joints.

I totally want info on outside of the box!

Gray's papaya is a NYC trademark...it's not too glamorous though, but def. a trademark....they have the best hot dogs and juices..and for dirt cheap

well, i don't know how quirky you guys want to get but there is a very crazy burlesque club on the Lower East Side called The Slipper Room.
There are a few fun piano bars in the West Village.
