our dj said he can play a song....during the song a napkin gets passed around the table..whoever is holding the napkin when the music stops gets the CP
you can also do a piece of paper under one plate on each table

I did mine really simple. Whoever's birthday was the closest to my wedding day got the centerpiece!

OO There are lots of fun games to do that. I've been to weddings where theres the dollar game where a dollar gets passed around like hot potato then whoever has it at the end of the song has to do something like dance around the table, then they have to pass the dollar to the person on one side of them and that person gets to take it home.
I've seen it done with the napkins, also.
Theres also one with whoevers b-day is the next at the table.

You can always tape a piece of paper or something to the bottom of one of the plates at each table and whoever has that plate get the CP.

At the last wedding, the DJ did a similar thing.
A dollar bill passed around until the music stopped. Whoever was holding the dollar DID NOT get the CP - it was the person who came up with the dollar in the first place.
Made for some good laughs !

Have everyone fill out the thank you envelopes with their address. Then pick out of a box. Saves time on hand addressing thank you's and gives away your centerpeices. double duty!!!

Thats what I'm doing .. and whoever's bday is closest to FH gets the candle that it holding the table number!!

I looooved this idea from a wedding I went to - I am going to do this:
DJ asks 1 person at the table to take out a dollar bill. Music is played with the $1 is passed around, then the music stops. Everyone at the table thinks the person who has the dollar at the end gets the centerpeice, but it's a trick! The person who gave the $1 gets it!

You can give it to the couple that has been married the longest at each table.
Or if you still have their RSVP cards group them by tables and call out the table number and pick one of the cards.

I was at a wedding recetly and the Dj did the cutest thing. He had us pass a napkin one way and a spoon other way... when the music stopped, a girl had to have the napkin and a boy had to have the spoon (if it didn't work out that way, then you gave it to the closest girl/boy) Then the girl who got the napkin got to keep the centerpiece and the each boy that had the spoon had to come up as a group and seranade the bride to 'you've lost that lovin feeling' It was adorable!!!!

I like the idea of the couple who has been married the longest that is sitting at that table. Otherwise I would do the closest birthday to the wedding date.

i did this but with a spoon... i like the birthday idea ooooh and the thank you card envelope saves you a lot of writing.

we may either do the birthday closest to the wedding date or when we group our favors to be placed on the table we will mark one and whoever has that favor wins.. have the dj announce it somehow..

our dj did something similar to this, it also involved hugging the person next to you, lol... I didn't see it, but from what I heard and saw from the pics, everyone had a lot of fun with it!
