I work in a piano bar and I am getting tired of my music. I need to add some new material. I thought that maybe you ladies could help me. Name some songs that you would like to go to a bar and hear. Remember though that it is only the voice and piano so not everthing works. They can be any type from broadway to rock. I am counting on your help!!! Thanks!

For the most part I truely enjoy it. It does have its good points and bad. The good...
1. I have my days free to audition. 2. We are like a family where I work. 3. I get to sing and hopefully entertain people. 4. I left for about a year to do some shows and my boss gave me the first shift that became avalible after I came back.
Bad...
1. People asking me if I have ever thought about singing professionally.(yes, I know it is a compliment, but it gets irritating) 2. The money used to be better.( Thank you Bloomberg!!!!!) 3. Although you are getting to entertain it does sometimes hurt your feelings when people are ignoring your efforts. 4. It is hard to work until 3am or 4am and get out of bed at 6am to wait for auditions.
Those are the pros and cons as I see them. You should come in and check it out sometime!!

I have been to one piano resturant and I loved it - I wonder if it was the one. I forgot the name. Danny boy will get them every time, also when irish eyes are similing.
All I remember was that they had Balieys Cheese Cake always a hit with me.

What about the new ballad from Evanescense?
I absolutely love the song, 'This Love' from Maroon 5... don't know how that translates to just piano. I have to dance around whenever I hear it.

okay, don't laugh, but today i was singing and thought this song would work too. now for those who saw 54 with ryan phillippe, there was that song..if you could read my mind love, what a tale my thoughts would tell...i love this song BUT not that souped up hyper disco version, but the original by Gordan Lightfoot. it is such a pretty song.

Actually, it went a lot better then I thought it would!!!! We only had one guy towards the end of the night that was drunk and a wee bit crazy. He kept going outside and bringing in snowballs to throw at us. I let it slide the first 2 times, but the told him to get out. He did not want to leave so I threatened to call the cops. He left and stood outside throwing snowballs at our door. I don't think he meant any harm . I think he was just drunck and a little crazy.
