I need some support so mad!!! at my reception hall!!! long!!

So for those of you that know my reception hall had screwed me!! they told me i would be the only wedding and now they booked a second wedding that will run into mine. So my mom suggested that i start my ceremony later. So my ceremony will start at 7pm insted of 5:30 when i called there a little while ago and asked if i could push it back to start at 7. He said sure we can do that i was so happy, then he goes are you doing this because of the other wedding. you dont need to worry about that, you need to pretend like there is not another wedding going on. But that is easy for him to say. i have my ceremony there an my reception, they want to do them in the same room which makes my florist have to try and get things taken down and setup faster, which means she had to pay an extra person which increase my price. when they did not tell me that in the first place. Am i seriously turning into a bridzilla or do i have a right to be peeved!!!

I think you have a right to be peeved. I would tell the RH - my concern is because I have to pay my florist extra b/c of the time constraint. .and ask them if they will cover that difference. .you never know. . or throw in something that would make that cost

Not that you are being a bridezilla, but when you book a place that has multiple rooms, you run the risk of another wedding going on. That is just the way it goes. You cannot expect that they won't book another wedding so far out from your date. Sorry, I don't think the RH did anything wrong...

what you want, should be what you get without explanations needed (within reason of course).... afterall, you are spending alot of money with them!

i agree!, but if they are willing to accept her request... she shouldnt have to give them reasons why and possibly convince her out of it, if thats what she really wants

I would be beyond mad if this happened to me so you have every right to be peeved. Definitely make the hall cover the difference in price for your florist since the price difference arose out of your hall's fault. Also, moving the start time to 7 pm is not bad at all and might actually be the better way to go if you want to feel like the only bride there. GL

my reception starts at 630p.

my CH is at 7pm and my wedding ends at 1230am. its a saturday night, so thats not late at all....i was at a wedding lat weekend that ended at 1am....everybody had a balst

i would be peeved and would def talk to the rh bout covering the florist extra time,i kow they have the right to book another wedding but maybe they can work with u t o make everyone happy

I would just tell your RH that ... be like, its because of the other wedding but because of this other event, I had to hire an additional person for flowers, which increased my price and starting the ceremony later will eliminate the need for the extra person, so im saving money in the end

Agreed. You always run this risk when you book a place that has multiple rooms.

I would definitely ask them if they conver the difference with your florist OR maybe they will throw in something for you during the reception!!

Ugh!!!

ur have every right to be annoyed, I would just switch the time if it bothers you that much. Is your florist going to charge you extra if you have it later also? I'm a little confused about that.

so it thought if i pushed my ceremony back til the other wedding was over we could have the ceremony in one room and the reception in the other then my florist would have enough time to break everything down and set up my reception room. But my Rh just called me back and said well, just because you pushed it back doesnt mean you will have both rooms, the other wedding ends to close to your start time there wouldnt be enough time to setup the room for your ceremony. so i told him the situation with my florist he said that he would work it out! 'we have plenty of time' i am so sick and tired of hearing that crap! whatever it is what it is i cant change it so i will pay the difference and deal with it i cant stress it anymore or iam going to make myself sick!! thank you for all your support girls!! you guys are the best!!
