I need to be talked down off the ledge...

I need to be talked down off the ledge...

I am starting to get a little nervous with one of my vendors. I don't want to get too specific because people here use this vendor and I hear nothing but good things so that is why I am confused. Something is being done custom for my wedding and I need it in two months and I am trying to get a progress report and I am not getting a response to emails and phone calls. I haven't done much with this vendor to get the task completed, and I don't know if they have done much on their end w/o me. I know this vendor is busy and I don't want to be a pest, but I really do want to know what is going on. I don't know if I have more than enough time for this task or if I am really late. I know I am writing in code, but I needed to get this off my chest. FH thinks I am getting crazy for nothing, but sometimes they just don't get all this wedding stuff.

Is there anyway you can maybe go to the vendors store if that is possible? Since you are talking in code I really don't know what to say. You can FM me if you need to be talked off the edge...

Thanks! This vendor works privately and doesn't have a storefront.

maybe email them saying that you don't want to be a pest but you need to know what is going on, and if they can't tell you at least what is going on you will need your money back and have to go somewhere else.

good luck!!!

I'm not sure which vendor or what you're talking about, but I'm nervous as hell that I'm not going to get my cardbox, b/c they're so frickin vague when I email them or try and get answers from For the Modern Bride!

I had a vendor like this no answers and than I get an automatic message that the lady is on maternity leave...so than I kinda flipped out but there was no really contact (direct) contact no. they outsourced a company (yahoo small biz) to do their site so you call that company and they have no idea what you're taking about they tell you to contact the vendor but that's the only contact I had. Anyway I actually got the stuff in the mail the week of the wedding, I was freaking out beforehand and pretty much figured I was victim of a scam, but I got it and it was beautiful. It ***** b/c otherwise I would have loved to recommend the vendor but since they caused me so much worry and stress I would never want another bride to go through that. Why can't ppl just answer an email?? I don't understand it! I go through 100+ emails a day and I HAVE to get back to everyone I have NO choice its my job on top of a million other things I do. When I got back from my honeymoon I had over 1,000 emails, anyway what I'm saying its not professional they're not taking you seriously its sad.

i'm sure wedding vendors get harassed by brides on a regular basis. i'm sure your call won't be as bad as most they get. i would call and tell them what you told us...that you don't mean to annoy them but you're just concerned and you want to know what's going on.

and don't worry if it's a smaller vendor...whether it's a photographer or a cardbox maker, the amount you're paying for their service doesn't matter, you are PAYING them for something very important to you and you have the right to call and check in with them.

good luck!

oh , so sorry you are stressing out - try to think positive about this - perhaps the vendor is just really busy especially with this being the height of wedding season - I think we have about 20 brides this week that I saw posted earlier on the boards. Perhaps send one more message and say I am just getting really nervous and that you simply need a reasponse to acknowledge you.
