Ditto! I booked mine a year out. It's not a race, so don't go by anyone else's timeline but your own. Take your time and find a place you both really love. Good luck!

thank you ladies.. i just get worried that all the 2011 dates wil be gone.. (( my nightmare last night)) ... but due to the recent development with Haiti... FH is not thinking or talking wedding.. and i respect that... but im still a girl right

awwwwwwww dont stress your self over that you will find a rental hall it may not seem like it but you still have alot of time.. I understand how FH feels I feel the same way.. following all of the coverage in haiti - hearing the death poll-seeing all the children/people that were dying was really an eyeopener for me. I've been telling fh.. some things are just not that important anymore because tomorrow is not guaranteed and When Im gone I cant take it with me , its so unfortunate. When I got engaged i was sooo happy and excited and it was kind of easy for me to get all caught up in the wedding hype but I actually have toned it down a lot with the wedding planning stuff (still planning just not obsessing).. I feel like im fortunate enough to have a wonderful fh like him /i have my fam and my health and everything else is elementary and will just fall into place..it is what it is.. don't worry about it give fh some time he'll come around and Im sure you'll find your hall and have the wedding of your dreams...... in the mean time yes you're still a girl so keep coming on LI weddings and chit -chatting it up with us 2011'ers LOL

Don't stress sweets! My date is in February and we haven't booked yet. Going this weekend finally. It will all work out just fine. So happy your FH is ok!!!

Maybe you can call around to some RH see what dates are available and get some pricing info? Maybe put that together with pictures so that you have all the info you need when FH is ready?
There are many FABULOUS halls in the area, so I wouldn't worry too much, but some of the more popular or one wedding halls are booking up, so I wouldn't wait too long.

I was feeling that way too. I went and saw the sandcastle and I went in November and they only had two dates left for July 2011. It scared me. The month of september 2011 was completely gone at the time. I was wondering who the heck are these people that have booked so far in advance.

You totally have some time - but i can understand the stress.
Both you and FH have a A LOT going on right now - don't be so hard on yourself. The 2 of you deserve to worry about your friends and family and the wedding can come after that.
As another bride said - there are tons of places out there you will find one. Everything happens for a reason, right? So maybe this is some kind of messed up blessing that will lead you to the place of your dreams!!!!
It will work out - just gotta have faith!!!

YOU HAVE PLENTLY OF TIME! is the date you want set in stone or are u flexable?! There is alot that can be done when ur open to different dates. I just booked on sunday and my wedding is 12-31-11 i was just nervous because we wanted a new years eve wedding.
Go at your own pace it will get done! and it will be worth the wait!

we are open... as long as I get to married my FH ..thats all that matter..

Don't worry, there are many halls still open for my date. I'm the Sat after thanksgiving. Spend time with your FH. There is always time for wedding planning.
