I need to decide..please help me

Okay, I'm not sure which one I should go with. I have a couple of options to go with for the photography.
Should I go with th 35mm?? or the digital?? if so how do I know if the digital is any good. Anyone have any experience in this? what did you use and why?

we went with digital because there was more opportunity to 'play' with the pictures....I can pick any picture and have them make it b & w, sepia, colorize just one part of it, use all sorts of effects. Plus you have the chance to make different styles of albums with digital. We also could have seen some shots during the reception because they had their computer with them! but we didn't have time.

Our photographer used a digital camera and couldn't be happier. Like Shana stated, the pictures are much easier (i.e. less expensive) to edit, correct, enhance, etc.

We probably had a couple hundred more proofs because there is no limit in the number of pictures you can take like with film. The photographer can tell right away if he got the shot.

Do you have to choose..I THINK ( could be wrong)..that our photographer used BOTH..I thought all photographers did this??

something to keep in mind...film can be converted into digital. you can have your pictures shot with film and still have all the special effects you want. you just have to find the photographer that has that ability and won't charge a fortune more for it.

my dad used to shoot weddings and he prefers film. he feels that when you enlarge photos they come clearer when they are from film and not digital. however, i know there are MANY photographers out there who prefer digital. i just thought i'd share what I know & have heard. I have friends who just got married and they went with digital. they are thrilled with their proofs. if you get a good photographer i don't think it'll make a world of difference, i just think it depends more on what you are looking for.

good luck!!!

I perfer film - they can easily make the photo digital. I think you a better with film because you can hold onto the negatives and you know that negatives will last a lifetime - right now digital is fairly new and you can't be sure that the cd will be around.

From someone who took photography I like film better - as lorena mentioned you get a sharper image when you enlarge than you do with digital - that might not be the case down the road but I believe that is what it is now.

There are many who love digital - the camera might not be cheap but in the long run they save money because they won't be buying film and development.
