I need to donate a turkey!

I have this free turkey FH got from one of his clients sitting in my freezer. I will never cook this thing and it's taking up half of my freezer. I would like to get rid of it, preferably today, by donating it to a soup kitchen or food pantry. I live in Whitestone and don't want to travel to any far out areas or unknown areas to do this (yes, I'm being somewhat selfish in my charitable act ). I have a lot of stuff to do today and would like this to be one of the things I get done.

Anyone know of any soup kitchens/food pantries in the Whitestone/Bayside area that I can get in touch with to drop this bird off?

Jann is there a church or temple in the area? If you know or can get the number try calling them and ask if they know of a place you can donate it to.

St. Raphaels's in Sunnyside, if that is too far call your local parish they may know of a family who can take it right away as most places only take non-perishables.

Kate, that's not too far from FH's office in LIC. I'm going to call to see if they'll take it. There's got to be a soup kitchen that would take a turkey. If that doesn't work, there's a church and a temple down the block from me. Maybe they'll have a better idea.
