NOPE...I picked the color! I wanted wine and there was no changing that, but i was lucky they loved it. They dress style, well they came to a compromise...This was the hardest part

I am such a dork.. But hopefully someonelse can relate..

I really want my BM's and MOH to wear periwinkle, or an ice blue color.. The guys ties are that color, so It would look beautiful.. 2 Of them really want black, so I was going to give in.. But I WANT BLUE.. It is so beautiful.. I want to just say 'NO it's my wedding, and I'm having blue.' But THat is not me and it so bridezillaish.. My mom, said, It's your day you have what ever you want.. HMM..

OK - i can totally 100% relate - i was so lenient with things and I wanted to make everyone happy so i was giving choices on dresses and colors and letting everyone's opinion matter. Umm - that isnt going to work out because most of my BM dont like what I like - so i've decided-

ITS MY WEDDING- AND THEY WILL WEAR WHAT I WANT THEM TO.

SO, the conclusion has been i pick the dress and I pick the color - and the story ends happily ever after.

it sound so cruel - but think about it - this is your special day - and the focus should be on what you want not what your bridesmaids want. It is not like you asking them to wait on you hand and foot - you are just dictating the dress and the color - if they dont like it - tough - no one is supposed to like bridesmaid dresses - that is why it has such a bad rap -
Do you watch Frasier? Well if you do - remmber the episode where Roz was afraid of Daphne asking her to be a bridesmaid because she didnt want to wear a puffy ugly dress and when Roz thought it was an awesome dress that Frasier chose she said yes and later realzied that Daphne was choosing a puffy sleeved dress??

- well the bottom line is that it is your special day - they said yes to be by your side - and they did have the option of saying no - now they have to just respect your decision on this.

I told them the color and style I wanted....but all that has gone out the window....because I also said I wanted them to be happy and comfortable. I never should have opened the door....now it is like I don't even have a say! Oh well.....I guess I need some balls too

I have had my hear t set on red dresses since like 5 min after I got engaged! Its the one thing with them I really put my foot down. all the girls love the color EXCEPT 1. She has thrown a tantrum about it, begged me to pick black, blue every color under the sun besides red. She even had the nerve when the sales lady was showing me the color swatches for a dress... go over and say Oh no not that one! its too red! she wants this color! and pointed to a VERY dark burgandy!!!! I dont care she can kiss my butt b/c seriously I am letting them pick ANY dress they want and this is the only thing I have asked of them - I dont think that is too much. Put your foot down!!

I picked the color and about 10 dresses that came in that color. My MOH (sister) and BM (best friend) narrowed it down to 3. Then I had the other 4 vote on those 3 and they all chose the same one.

Definitely put your foot down. Its your wedding and this person is your close friend, right? Well, she should understand that she's there to support you and its your day, so if she's a good enough friend, she'll wear the blue.

No way - its your wedding and you only get to do this once!!! Make them wear the color you have your heart set on originally or they can choose to not be bridesmaids!!! I dont think thats being too bridezilla at all. They are lucky I dont care what shoes they are wearing or what their hair is like!

I told my bridal party that I wanted them to wear black. I let them go out and purchase any dress as long as it is all black. It is your wedding. You get the final say.

What I'll be doing, I'm going to pick the color. I'll have the MOH and BM's show me dresses that they like. THe dress that fits everyone perfectly, that will be the dresses. I'll have them in the same dress but the MOH with be in a different shade.

i let them try on dresses and it just so happened they all chose the dress i loved but they weren't getting a choice in color!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is your day... they dont have a choice!

besides ask them if they are paying for your flowers to match your color combo

It's not cruel - My rule is Don't ask your friends to wear something YOU would never want to wear. - And personally, I would NEVER make someone wear a gown they were completely uncomfortable and miserable with - BUT ........as far a colors go - that's 100% YOUR DECISION !!

I picked the color (ice blue like you want) and fabric, adn let them each pick out their own dress i have 5 girls and they all have different styles from the Impressions seperates collection, My BM's loved it, they all especially love me for letting them pick something that fits their own individual style

I picked the dress and the color....did not ask any opinions, jsut my mom and I....had one BM try it on, said THATS IT...and they all called in their measurements!

I do not think you are Bridezilla AT ALL if you tell them what you honestly want them to wear! Its YOUR day, YOU choose the dresses YOU want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
