I need to turn in my lease and there are two scratches I need to get removed?

If we let Acura do it they will charge us about $400 but the inspector said to get the scratches buffed out on our own and it should be about $50.

Where can I go to get these scratches buffed out? Fi works in Farmingdale/Melville area...so somewhere in that vicinity.

my car was broken into years ago...and they couldn't hotwire it...although they did a number trying...so they keyed the whole freaking thing!!!

I had all the body work done at Duffy's...they used to be in Hicksville at the Wantagh pkwy just norht of OC Rd...but now I think they are around West John Street...

how major are they? I had a leased car and when I turned it in, they said that they allow (I think it was...)2 quarter panals to have minor damage, from normal wear and tear. After that they charge you. (Really inspect your car though. I had no idea there was a minor crack in front light lense and I got charged like triple had I had gone to auto store and bought a new one myself). (this was nissan though)

you are allowed scratches, its called normal wear and tear! when I turned in my pathfinder I had scratches and paid nothing

The two scratches are obviously from the car being key'd at some point. The guy said they arent too deep so anyplace should be able to buff them out. I am not sure if getting it detailed with get them out.

We're returning our Acura this month and have a few dings that were considered part of wear and tear. We do have a small dent that they want fixed - they're going to charge $300.

How deep are the scratches? I would take it to a normal body shop and have them buff it out. $400 for 2 scratches seems high! I would definitely just get a few quotes and if Acura comes in cheaper than just do it with them. Good luck!

I can buff them out if they arent to deep. I am a detailer. If you can take picture of the scratches and upload them onto here....Or fm me with more info.

My car had a few little scratched & I was fine, no charge.

Also, check your lease agreement. I have in mine that I am covered for up to $1500 in repairs of scratches, dents, wear and tear, etc.

If you don't then I'd get the work done myself.
