i need to vent

i am soo angry right now... i dont know if i should be but for some reason this urked me...

My gma just called me to let me know one of my cousins is coming in to see her, and i should come over and see her for a little bit...

ok. I understand you say she is family and i should come see her since she comes to NY every once in a while but do I really need to come? I havent seen or spoken to my cousin since my grandfathers funeral 2 and a half YEARS AGO.since then, I have gotten engaged, friended her on Facebook ( only to be ignored) sent her some emails and a STD for the wedding... AND NOTHING... no congratulations, no email response NOTHING....

Today is my engagement anniversary and i really have to go spend time with this 'cousin' that doesnt really give a damn about me or anything.... I just find it SO ANNOYING that all of a sudden i HAVE to go see her because she is going to see you...

I love you grandma but come on... do i really NEED to spend my night with her... i feel closer with you girls that i only really know online than i do with her. I consider you guys more family than she is...

Sorry for the long vent and if it doesnt really make sense but i needed to get it off my chest... thanks for reading...

I would just explain to your grandma that it's your anniversary tonight and you already planned stuff with FH, but will try to come by another time. I'm sure she'll understand.

i wouldn't spend the whole night with her, but i would go over in the afternoon if i could for like ½ hour and then leave

Thats rediculous.. I would say sorry grandma tonight is a special night for us and we have plans.. maybe ill stop by if its not to late after (Which it will be lol)

I would not go even if my grandma asked me. Did you tell your grandma that your cousin has not even acknowledged the fact that you are getting married? Bad cousin!!!

that's a crappy situation, no one wants to say no to grandma!

i wouldn't do it, if you already have plans to spend the evening with your FH then you have plans!
