I need to vent!!!!

So this morning on my way to work I get pulled over by the police. And the officer told me I didn't stop at the stop sign. I take the same route everyday and although I find the stop sign useless because it's not at an intersection I always stop. Now I'm going to have to go to court to try to fight this. If I'm found guilty that will be 3 points on my license and $130 fine. I'm trying to save money for this wedding. And now I might have to throw away money. I'm so upset; I'm trying not to let this ruin my day. I'm praying and hoping that I can fight the ticket. The officer put that the time of the offense was 8:50 however I clocked in at work at 8:49. I just really don't want to have to pay for this ticket.

You clocking in at work one minute before the ticket time says just might work in your favor. Get a record of that.

I'm hoping it does. I got the print out from my job so I'm taking it to court with me. I really don't want to give money away to the city.

Some girl I knew from high school got out of a DWI because the cop wrote the ticket for 12:04am but put the date from the day before. She winded up completely getting out of it. If she can get out of a DWI you should be able to get out of a stop sign ticket! I hope it works!!

Explain that you are sorry and will not do it again, and point out that no accident occured and no one was hurt due to this. If you have a clean record you should be able to downgrade the charge to like a seatbelt ticket which is a non moving violation and is just like a 50 dollar fine...

Nooooo, don't say sorry or admit any wrongdoing!!! Just say that you clocked in at work one minute earlier than the time the policeman wrote on the ticket. If the judge asks you if this violation happened, you are not lying by saying that it didn't because at 8:49, you were already at work! Just show the proof!
