I need to vent

I am so frustrated! I just found out that my tiara is not even being shipped until 2 weeks before my wedding. This leaves me absolutely no time for trials for hairstyles. I called the shop to tell them how disappointed and upset I was about the situation and they finally said I could borrow the sample, but they can not guarantee me that it will be there. It could be sold. So I asked what would happen then and basically the woman had no answer. Noone told me it would take so long to come in when I ordered it. God forbid it gets lost in the mail, it might not be in on time. They should have told me from the beginning that it might take so long. Had I known this, I would have looked elsewhere. This is on top of a few other bad experiences I have had with this shop. Unfortunately, I have to remain civil because I still have to work with them. Sorry this is so long, just had to get this off my chest.

My place told me the same thing, but I told them that was unacceptable. I had my tiara a week later. Be firm and explain your situation and tell them you want it now! They CAN do it. Don't take no for an answer.

why don't you look on ebay for something similar...you can find them really cheap, like $10, buy it and use that one for hair trials in the meanwhile...

and also get on the phone w/ the company that is making yours and scream holy he ll!! You need your tiara WELL before your wedding day and that is unnacceptable!

Where did you order it from? And dena, how about you? I'm ready to start looking for mine.
One word of caution, if I may. Be sure they don't slip you the sample. They may do that if they see you are giving them a hard time about getting it in time.

Your wedding is in December, and they can't ship it until the end of November? That seems like a long time from now. Did they put the order in wrong? Is it possible for you to call the manufacturer to find out how long it should take? Maybe you can get your deposit back from that store and buy it elsewhere?

I called the shop back and asked for a number to contact the manufacturer and the woman said 'What? You don't believe me? They will not talk to you because your a bride, not a vendor. They will just call me and tell me you tried to contact them.' I am so mad. It seems like there is nothing I can do. I am afraid to be nasty because it might affect my gown, bm dresses, etc......

id probably buy a backup one, for just incase

eBay - Princess Bride Tiaras

Look here - I bought mine from them and it was here in a week. I refused to order from a shop. When I went to Patchogue Floral, they said it would take up to 6 weeks and the cost was outrageous. eBay is the way to go!

I just got my tiara (s) plural.. they are gorgeous even better than what the ebay picture looked like.

Give ebay a try for your trials.

I can't believe they are taking THIS long for a tiara!! Unless it's hand made.. geez!
