I need to Vent ceremony location..

Ok there is a church fh goes to I dont go b/c i am too tired by that morning. All week I work from 9pm-2am go to bed at 4am and get up at 7:30am to get my daughter off to school anyway fh hasnt asked the minister if we can get married there b/c they only marry those who are a member of the church but he is a member so it shouldnt matter right? So now its 6mnths till our wedding and we still dont know where we are getting married thx for listening sorry so long

Sorry to hear about your frustration!

FH has been trying to set up an appintment for us to meet with the priest for about 3 months now. So I know your pain!

He goes every week except he will miss a sunday every once in awhile.

He said he doesnt want to ask until I start going but I am so exhausted

No fh goes at 9am and it takes 1 1/2 to get me and my 2 daughters ready so i would have to get up crazy early but I m going to have a sit down with him b/c I really want it at the church the isles there are really wide and my mom and sis are both walking me down the isle so we will all fit there thank you for the huggies

I am so sorry you have to deal with this right now!! Just tell FH that he needs to get the ball rolling ASAP or he will not be the only one feeling about the ceremony location situation!!!

Of course you can get married in that church. They don't take attendance! Besides, FH is a regular member, and therefore must be on the books. Only one of you needs to be on the books. No church forces a churchgoer to marry within the parish!

Truthfully, this doesn't sound like your FH is misguided by church regulations.... it more sounds like he wants you to become more religious, and share his faith with him. You may want to chat about that with him.......

He needs to get a move on it. TO be a member at the church all you need to do is register. As long as you are a registered parishoner you are considered a parishoner either way-so there shouldnt be any issues.

ETA: Tell FH to move his BUTT

If its a Catholic church, I believe there's a 6 month minimum to speak to the priest, get your date, and start the whole process (FOCCUS, Pre Cana, etc).

If it's not a Catholic church, you still need to do this asap. Good luck!
