I need your advice Please

OK so you all know that we've been going crazy searching for the perfect place to have our ceremony & reception...

We've searched the gamet!!! I'm looking in to restaurants in the city.

I manage a restaurant in Jericho, it's a beautiful restaurant. Someone asked me about having the wedding here. At first I laughed it off, Now I'm thinking about it....

I can close the restaurant to the public for a Saturday, (The man that owns the restaurant is the same man that's giving me away ) I know the quality of the food. All our liquor is top shelf.

I want our puppies to be in the ceremony & I don't think that would present a problem (I still have to check it out.

It will cost alot less than catering halls, and we will then really be able to affored a house before the wedding.

Please let me know what you think, I have pic's of the restaurant on our webpage but there are 360 tours on Newsday.com -local search - restaurants key word Brindisi.

we want a small wedding and it's important to me to be the only wedding (FH doesn't care about that)

I think (I'd have to check & get opions first)

I'd have the ceremony in the garden room,

move cocktail hour upstairs to the private room & terrace,

Then have the reception on the whole first floor We'd have to close the restaurant for the whole day!!

Those of you coming to our 2007 GTG please let me know what you think of the restaurant then

I think its a great idea - and i would also like to add that i happen to love that restaurant!! these are the advantages you have (You lucky gal!)

1 - like you sd - you know its awesome food, and great service! theres a lot of security there that you dont have to worry abt - like - things going wrong, food not being A+++(bc i know it is!!)

2 - it will save you alot of money

3 - you'll be that much closer to your dream house

4 - since your in the food business, im sure its even harder for you to have found a place - bc you know more than others what its like to please your customers - good food, service, etc.

the only prob i foresee - and this is the most important - and something only you can answer - will you regret having it there? also - how does your father and your FH feel abt it?

That sounds like a great idea! As long as it would be ok to shut down the restaurant for a Saturday (since that might lose the restaurant a fair amount of revenue...) I'd go for it. I'd talk to the restaurant owner before you get too excited though - I wouldn't want you to get your hopes up and be dissapointed.

Also, with health codes and things, having your puppies in a restaurant might not be allowed... but like you said, you'll find out.

I think that is a great idea. I've been to a graduation party upstairs in the private room a few yrs ago. I dont remember it much bc I was wasted!

How many people can you have? What will your menu be like.

There is nothing wrong with having a wedding at a restaurant. I was originally having mine at Battery Gardens which is a restaurant with a private room.

Being in the restaurant business I know the quality of products & some places we looked in to claimed to used top notch ingredients, when it reality they were bottom of the barrel.
