My cousin and I are like sisters. she got married last year and I was her MOH so of course she will me mine( matron of honor) she's very controlling but means well. I have a best friend who is there for me all the time we are like sisters also. We do basically everything together. My cousin lives in NJ and my best friend lives in LI actually same apartment complex I live in. We practically grew up together.
Here's that thing I also would like to ask her to be my Maid of honor. so I will have a maid and matron. My cousin is going to get jealous I know her like a book and my mom said the same thing. My FH is having two best mans and I mention to her I want to have maid and matron she made a joke and said I better not, then said Im only kidding but I know what she really meant.
I want to ask both but without hurting her feelings. My mom which is her aunt is like just have her as the MOH to avoid issues and my FH is saying the same thing. But this is my wedding. I asked my mom again and she was like well if that is what you want...
What do you girls think???

I keep reminding myself that it's my wedding day and me and FH want things that some ppl may not agree with. I think that if you feel this way and you want both to be your MOH's then you should go with it. Remember it's your day. Good Luck

Personally, I think I would go with what your heart is dictating, and that seems to be to choose your longtime friend who will probably be able to assist with wedding planning (and without any drama, I might add) as she's close by. There might be some tension, but I'd go with it.

Its your wedding.... If u want both have both, don't let your cousin get her way on your day....let Them split the duties, one can throw the bridal shower and the other the bat party

if you want two and think thats appropriate then have too! if you see her getting jealous or bossy just let her know how you feel......you love them both and i think thats the best way to express that

you know, i keep getting in the same situation. we have to remember, it's OUR big day and OUR money!!
you do whatever you want girl! it's your, day. as long as your feelings aren't hurt. i sound mean, i know. but this is how ppl stress out. you want your day to go the way you want. if you want 2 MOH's, you have them! i'm sure your FH is fine with that too.

It is YOUR wedding day remember that. If your friend means that much to you then by all means have her as your maid of honor, if your cousin gets upset just remind her that even though you are also having a maid of honor, she is your family and the most important thing in the world to her...always end with a hug

You have to keep playing in your head this is 'you & FH's' wedding day ~ there are going to be times when you are not going to make 'everyone' happy...Just remember this is about you two and I think you should follow your heart and have both...
