my daddy is having bypass surgery tomorrow and i'm totally and completely freaking out. please, please, please keep him in your prayers. i hate hospitals and a year ago my grandma (his mom) died after being in the hospital for a month.

UPDATE:

haven't been able to get to a comp since i left work monday. the surgery was actually on wednesday cause tuesday they were still running tests. thank god he went for a stress test and didn't have a heart attack. his main artery was 100% blocked, another was 80% and another was 50%. the doctor was shocked he was still ok and living. the surgery went well (triple bypass @ Maimonides) and they transfered him to recovery at about 7 pm last night. the doctor that performed the surgery is one of the greatest. they took his breathing tube out this morning at 6am and he was able to eat breakfast. he should be in the hospital for another 5 days and then at least a month recovery at home.

That is so good to hear! Im so happy that he is doing better.. I wish him a speedy recovery

WOW Vicky, that is an amazing story. I'm so glad that your dad's surgery went well, more than anything that they found this blockage before a massive heart attack. Your dad and family will be in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. He is so lucky!!!!!
