I never knew Minnesota was such a hot destination

Its time for my DH & I to make our annual pilgramage to the Holy Land........Minnesota. DH is a SUPER HUGE COSTCO SIZED VIKINGS fan so its an annual trip for him. Anyway we are staying in a 5 star hotel and have field level seats, 2 rows behind the field and are paying $250 per person, but the airfare is like $470 roundtrip????

***??? I saw an ad for Continental (who we are taking) and you can fly to Hong Kong for $290
Geez, the bars there close at like 12:00am and there is hardly any nightlife.

Oh yes Jenn, he has the flag proudly waving outside of our home (while everyone else has American flags, fall themed flags), his basement is 99% complete, his Viking beads hanging on my #$%(*% bannister........oh man is he psyched. Cant plan anything on Sundays until the game is over

My husband is a HUGE vikings fan. He is talking about maybe going there to catch a game. I probably wont join him though...but I will see

My mom's side of the family is from Minnesota (that's where I get my blonde hair :)) and we go out there at least twice a year (weddings, christenings and such) and it's always pricey....

The bars do close rediculously early, but if you go out to the right places....there is definitely night life...If you want, I will ask my cousins where....

The last time we went they brought us out to a couple of really great places.....Granted it's no NY, but it was a lot of fun!

Cindy, its really not a bad place, I had a lot of fun but I just couldnt believe the airline prices

Sage yes please find out for me, obviously we are staying in Minneapolis, not to far from the Metrodome

ETS: The last time we were there was Oct 2002, the days were nice, not to chilly, but at night oh my sweet Lord was it freezing, especially walking back from the game.....thank God they have those covered walkways, gave us some warmth

Stay - the cold weather is UNBEARABLE!!!!! COMPLETELY UNBEARABLE!!!

When I was there for my G-Ma's funeral it was February and they had to put up a tent b/c the cold combined with the windchill made it 10 degrees below zero!!!!!!

Oh my God!! I dont do to well in the cold weather, I'm a summer baby all the way! Give me 99 degrees and I'm fine.....
