This weekend DH and I went to the Bahamas for a quick trip away. Friday we left and the flight there was about 3.5 hours - total time in plane. I got up once for about 10 minutes the whole time which probably wasn't enough. We got to the airport and the line to customs was forever, so we got on and waited. About 3 people away from being next, I started feeling really strange...cold, sweaty, clammy, dizzy. I went to sit down and it just got worse and worse. It became our turn and I got up to meet DH at the counter, and passed out. He said I just crumpled, but he caught me. So, he got me into a chair and I woke up to hear him saying are you Ok? and passed out again in the chair. They took me to the nurses office and she did a glucose check on me (fine) and took my BP which was 80/50 She thought I was dehydrated. Now, I drink water like it's going extinct. I think it was just from sitting so long in a cramped area and then standing so long. I called my dr when we got to the hotel and he basically said I was probably dehydrated too - that the plane could do that... I'm worried about the baby though - they all said he/she is fine...I go back on Thursday - please say a prayer that the baby's OK!

OMG! I'm so glad you're ok. I get that feeling sometimes too...only I've never passed out!! Make sure you drink lots and eat a lot of small meals throughout the day.

Your little one is just fine, I know it, especially when you see your bean jumping and flipping all around this Thursday. I've had times where I've gotten so tremendously dizzy that I have to sit down for fear of passing out. Flying is somewhat of a stress on your body because of the altitude and dehydration, so that's probably all it was. Your little girl is tucked away sweetly inside your body, all happy and warm - no worries!

WOW thats scarey!!! I am glad to hear that your DH caught you and you didnt fall to the ground! I am sure the baby is fine!!! Try not to worry.

wow, that sounds so scary... Im glad youre feeling better and Im sure the baby is o.k. but Ill say a prayer anyway :) I passed out once too.. when you were out could you still hear things.. I could but felt so restful. It was strange. I also passed out from dehydration.

So, I went today for my nuchal test..... My little belly frog is PERFECT!!!! And stubborn as his/her mama!!! They COULDN'T DO THE TEST!!!!!!! But, I got lots of pics of thumb sucking pics (and he/she was BOUNCING around like a volley ball! I love it!! But, they couldn't get a good pic of his/her neck so....BACK I GO!!!!! I go Monday night. The sono teck said she didn't want to inconvenience me...but she thought I should come back. I'm like INCONVENIENCE ME?? ARE YOU CRAZY!????!?!?!?!?! I'd go every day! And we FINALLY heard the heartbeat via the doppler. Strong and steady. We have a WINNER Thank you all for your wishes and prayers!!
Oh, and the dr. said she thinks that the passing out was more from me STANDING in one place for too long than anything else. What a relief!!!
