I picked my songs for the wedding!
My music minister is such an awesome guy and called me at 11 pm Saturday night to tell me we could meet the next day to figure out all the songs.
It was a fight between really traditional songs and something 'different' and my FH won out on a lot of them.... But, I got the most important things I wanted...
And here they are....
Prelude: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (For Mothers)
Processional: Canon in D (For Bridal Party)
Responsorial Psalm: Number 33: The Eart is Full Of The Goodness of the Lord
Gospel Acclamation: Praise to You (During Lent, Can't do Celtic Alleulia)
Lighting of the Unity Candle, Offer to Mary: The Wedding Song by Paul Soke (my #1 favorite - talks about a woman leaving home and a man leaving his mother...I cried when he played it)
Prep of Gifts: Ave Maria (shuddering now just thinking about it!)
Communion: One Bread, One Body and the Battle Hymn of the Republic (personal reason)
Recessional: The 'Classic' Wedding March
I also got the singer I wanted and the trumpet player too... They did 2 of my friends' weddings also.
