I picked up my veil from C&H today (very sad)

Kim from C&H Bridal called me yesterday to tell me my veil was ready -- I was a little surprised because my wedding isn't until September. Kim had said the tiara would be ready by May, and that I could pick up the rest in August. But she told me on the phone that she is moving her store, and didn't want to take my veil with her.

I went there today, and I am BEYOND happy with my veil! It is so, so beautiful, and it's exactly what I wanted.

The tiara is even more gorgeous than what I remember (when I ordered it months ago). I got a finger-tip length veil with blusher, pencil thin edge, with a few scattered pearls and crystals on the second layer. I also got a cathedral length veil with a scalloped bottom and a few pearls and crystals on the bottom edge. I also bought two hair pins, which match my tiara exactly. I don't have a scanner, but I'll try to post pics at my friend's house.

Anyway, Kim said that she will be gone by the end of this month, and she doesn't have a new location yet!!!!!

She is basically being forced out along with the rest of the block -- the New York Times will be putting their new offices there. She said she's looking for a new store space in the area, but everything is double what she's paying for rent now

I KNOW she will land on her feet because she is sooo talented and so sweet She said she'd call me to let me know where her new location is. Poor thing.... If I hear anything, I'll post it. I highly recommend her!!!!! Really beautiful work. My mom was so impressed. I was worried there'd be too many pearls and crystals, but she put JUST the right amount.

If you are looking for a veil, wait until Kim lands somewhere (which I know will be soon). It's really worth it. And I know my veil would've been like double the money somewhere else.

I feel bad for Kim - I loved her!!!!

OK, I spoke w. her and she is moving on Wednesday. I have to get my headpiece and veil on Monday, as she is moving on Wednesday. I am pretty upset though- what am I supposed to do if I need changes, or if something is wrong w. the product???

I had the very same concerns, but it was PERFECT.

Ask if you can contact her if you have a problem... I'm sure she'd be willing to work with you.

I went there today to order my veil and it will be ready on Monday!! I also got some hairpins and was in and out of there in like 20 minutes! She was very helpful and knows what she's doing. I'm sure if you want to change something she won't leave you hanging. She said they got really short notice and is trying to find another location. It's an unfortunate situation.
