Does anyone know of a video company that would shoot raw footage the day of the wedding and then just give me that without the editing? I know how to edit video and I would just do that myself (I actully really enjoy doing it) plus I figure that would kind of save some money.
We didn't originally want video but now that I am in the process of making a video for FBIL/FSIL of their wedding from the videos I shot, I kinda want SOMETHING for ours.
Do you think I would have a better chance of maybe finding someone on Craigslist?

If you just want raw footage my suggestion would be to maybe put out an ad on craigslsit for perhaps an NYU film student..maybe like 2nd year....i think you'll save alot.

yeah that's what I'm thinking might be best. I've asked my friend Melissa (who did our e-pics) if one of her fabulous creative friends does video and would be willing to do this for us, so she's on the lookout.

A friend of FH who was a film student at NYU said this used to be very common.... I think you can also go down to NYU and post an add up on one of their boards...you can prob find someone for the day for like $500 plus a meal

I was going to suggest checking a college board or putting up an ad there. Otherwise, definitely craigslist. It cant hurt.

Most videographers do offer it - I know Rob at Couped Up does (since we booked with him). his prices are really reasonable.
But yea - maybe post an ad on likes craigslist or check local colleges/universities

I actually was in a back and forht email discussing with my SIL about the wedding just now and mentioned this to her. She said that a friend of a friend used this guy who works for a film company (Harrington Talents) and she priced out what it would be for them to just shoot raw footage and it was around $300. She's going to get me the info. That's around what I was thinking of spending.
