my uncle in France sent me an 'engagement present' (why would you give me a bag instead of something the COUPLE could use - whatever, he's French right?) It's an LV bag that I already have that the FI bought for me a few months back.
Unfortunately, I can't return it or exchange it without a gift receipt or anything. I took it the LV store here in NYC to make sure it was the real deal and found out how much it was (HOLY ISH)
If anyone is interested in purchasing it (for a lot less than what it is) Please let me know...it goes for $1600+ according to the LV store and eluxury.com
It's AUTHENTIC and comes with everything. Care card, dust bag cover, authenticity card, etc...

I wish my strange FRENCH uncle would adopt me...he has no kids, just a wife and they are just CHILLIN out there - too bad some of his fortune didn't rub out on my father! LOL...you would think two brothers would be similar!
Ebay was the first thing I thought of, but it's such a PROCESS to get verified and set the account up, etc....

They have ebay stores now. They do all the processing for you. I have seen at least 3 in the area recently. You might want to check that out.

Thanks! I have one and I absolutely adore it! Never thought that I'd love a bag, but this one - I would never trade it in for the world. I wish FI wouldn't have bought it for me b/c that money totally could have gone towards the wedding or the HM - but hey - it's a gift right? Shut my mouth and carry it proud.
Hopefully someone else can experience the same!

That's beautiful! It's very similar to the one FH promised to get me after the wedding. It's grgeous. So weird for an engagement gift though. Good Luck!

ETA: And make sure uncle gets the invite for the wedding but who knows what you'll receive then!
