so i just quit my job. It wasn't planned or anything, we had a monday meeting where my boss crossed the line and i just decided that i can't stay there anymore. I'm happy but a little nervous about all the wedding expenses. i hope i can find something soon. If anyone know of any openings please let me know, i'm looking for anything at this point.

I can totally relate! I quit last week- Have been thinking about it for a while- but found the corage to do it.
I am ver worried about the wedding expenses and I have nothing to fall back on as well.

I have been wanting to do it for the past 6 months but i stuck with it because i didn't want to be a quiter and i guess i hoped things would get better. They haven't. I'm just glad most of the wedding bills don't have to be paid till next year so i have a couple of months to find something.

OMG! you girls are both so brave. I wish I had the courage to do what you did... no really - I've been looking to quit for about 2 years. FH is all for me just up and quitting without another job - but I don't think I could really handle it.... arrrgh :( Good Luck with everything (and if you find a place with an opening let me know ;)) LOL

I was in the same boat. I have not been happy for a while and It was affecting my relationship with FH- so I said enough is enough. If I have to get to PT jobs until something comes around I will- but If I dont start setting the tone now for what I will sacrifice myself for... its only going to get worse.
For me money is not everything- sanity, health - loved ones are equallty as important. All I am saying is that I know how you feel and I am here if you need to cry vent or whatever!

Congrats on getting out of a place that you weren't happy in. I can totally relate!! I am so ready to quit, but I promised myself I would wait until the wedding when I go back to school full time

WOW! Good for you! Isn't it sad that so many of us have wanted out of our jobs for awhile?! I've been trying to leave for about 2 yrs too (time flies FAST!) So I think I'm going to go part time starting in Sept----it's very scary, but VERY liberating! What kind of work does everyone do? Maybe we can network!

Im proud that you actually took a stand. There are way too many people who allow their bosses to completely overstep boundaries... and i know personally I needed the money so I couldnt quit but I look back now and say I WISH i had the confidence to quit!

thanks everyone. i'm so glad i did it. i feel so much better now and before i was miserable, everyday i hated waking up and going to work. I figure i'm young and I will find a job i love eventually. I don't want to be stuck in a place where i was so unhappy.
