that you should try to buy a set of something so that they match. Example: the stroller, car seat, play pen and high chair should all be the same brand and design. Does it really matter? What did you do?

Re: I read in a magazine...........
I went with a best of breed approach- not matching. I chose each product based on my likes, reviews on amazon.com and what you gals have all said. My infant car seat and stroller pattern match and so does my pack&play and high-chair, but everything else doesn't.

Re: I read in a magazine...........
We picked a stroller and matching infant car seat that we liked but the travel play pen is different and we haven't decided which high chair we like yet. We've also been checking out the reviews on everything before we decide.

We will begin registering next week, and all our choices so far have been based on recommendations and Consumer Reports. Our choice for infant car seat and stroller are the same brand, but nothing else is.

As I have... the only items that match is the stroller and car seat, again due to raving reviews by the consumers.

As did everyone else, we don't have matching stuff, with the exception of our car seat/stroller combo
