OK, so my wedding is NEXT WEEKEND. My sister just called and told me that her SIL is pregnant, and plans on announcing it AT MY WEDDING. Are you F-ing kidding me? I completely understand that things happen in peoples lives, and I can be as happy for them as the next person, but do you HAVE to announce it at my wedding? This is MY time, I waited a LONG time for this, and I was very happy for them when it was THEIR time, but come on, have a little respect.
Anyway, she's going to tell her SIL that I'd appreciate it if she'd please not announce it next weekend, and she is going to let me know what they say.
Updated: Ok, my sister spoke to her BIL, and they are not going to say anything next weekend. Crisis averted!

Seriously, thast is your day. She should not make such an announcement at another event. That is wrong, even if it is a great thing such as a pregnancy. Heck, my niece & nephew (fg & rb) will turn 7 the day after our wedding and we wnated to have a cake for them at wedding but were told NO, it is your day. I am sure it will all work out.

My cousin was preggo at my engagement party, she hadnt announced it yet, we all had an i dea since she wasnt drinking that night, but she waited to announce it and didnt do it at my party. there is a time and place and your wedding is not it

Oh my god...My SISTER, yes MY SISTER, just did that to me at my shower last weekend. I HATE her for it, lol. It was so inappropriate, and made me so mad. Of course I am happy for her but that was MY day, not to sound bratty. But she tends to steal my thunder all the time. I have been upset about it ever since last Saturday

I'd be pissed to. That day is about your and your FH, not a family member annoucing the pregnancy. She can do it the next day or the week after. No need to be done at a wedding. That is just rude!!

i agree.. there would def. be a better time and place to announce that. It's a beautiful thing and very exciting to hear that someone is expecting...but why choose to announce it on someone else's very special day!!

Ohhhh I'd be so mad! I'm in a similar situation where fsil already was parading her newborn at my shower... can only imagine what she is planning for my wedding. I won't put anything past her but if I hear of anything, I'm not afraid to put a stop to it. Attention hoggers just don't understand that they will have their chance and don't need to take ours. Sorry, I guess that was a mini vent from me too
