I REALLY NEED SOME PHOTOGRAPHY HELP!!! (kind of long)

OK I know that I have totally waited too long to book a photographer so now I am starting to freak out! (breath, I have to breath) I know I have posted about this probably about a million times but this has been so difficult for me. I am planning from Florida and I will not be in NY until Sept. (we are getting married Oct 5) so I won't be able to visit anyone. I had deciede a while ago that I wanted to book with Laurie Studio but when I contacted them they were already booked for my date. So they recommended to me William James (who was also recommended to my by my reception cite). I spoke to them today and they had just taken down my info to hold the date but when they checked their books they just booked my date this weekend! Now I don't know what to do.
Please help me. I am looking for more of a traditional style (my FH doesn't really like the photojernalism) but I don't want to spend too much. I am trying to stay in the $2,000-$3,000 price range.
I've been reading some posts from earlier today, what does VIP's prices start at. Any other suggestions? (If you could provide a web site or other contact information along with starting price range that would really help me out).

I will fax you the VIP info tomorrow. I want to come in early to take care of it before anyone else is here. My work schedule got a little crazier than I though it would last week.

YOU WILL FIND A PHOTOGRAPHER! If you went to someplace like Photos of the Heart you should have no problem. They are a husband and wife team, but I think they have other photographers working for them. Some girls on this board think they are a bit 'cookie-cutter' ish and that may be true, but their albums are really gorgeous. Definitely reasonable priced, but I can't remember their prices.

My aunt handed me a card for a woman she knows who does weddings. Custom Photography by Donna or something like that. I can pass along that info if you are interested. I don't know anything about her becuase I had already booked Laurie Studios by the time my aunt mentioned her.

There are a TON of photographers out there and I am sure you will find one.

like Becky said you will find a photographer. We used John from Wedding World and were very happy with him. He took mostly traditional pictures...not too many fancy shots. We wanted mostly the traditional shots anyway.

Try Glenmar Studio in Roslyn....

We got their entire package, with everything we wanted, for $2,495. They do what you describe. Call them and see if they are free on your date - 516-484-4646. Good Luck.

I visited him -- His style was very traditional, and he was an absolute pleasure to talk to. Last year when I met him, he had a package at $2600.

Have you looked into Renaissance Photographers in Smithtown? My friend used them and was very happy. I saw her album, and her pictures were pretty, and more toward the traditional side.

Park AVenue Studios

They are located in Sayville -- we decided not to book them b/c we wanted more photojournalistic pictures, but Park Avenue had really nice traditional pictures. I think they were very reasonable. I know they have a website, but I don't know what it is. Like everyone else said, there are tons of photographers & you will definitely find someone wonderful!

Proline Studios

You could also try Marco Studios located in Holbrook. They have a lot of different packages to choose from and do very nice work.

Check out Cassarino Studios

We are using them - their photos are more traditional - this is what my FH and I wanted. We thought their albums were beautiful and you could get a nice package in your price range. They have a website www.cassarinostudios.com and are located in Mineola, but I think they have another office farther out on the island - check the website. Some photography help

We looked at many photographers before picking Patkin. They had beautiful photos at a good price. They were also very nice to do business with. We were the most comfortable with them.
Paul marino and Park ave studio have beautiful photos too.
