Does it cost to throw a shower? I am currently in a bridal party and planning my own wedding. If you were ever in bridal party how much was your contribution? If you are throwing your own what is the cost associated?

it will entirely depend on where the shower is....
my shower was at my mom's house, with 11 attendees and the food was catered by a local deli - so the cost was low...
my MOH's shower was HUGE - 90 people at her church - but the food budget, decorations, gifts, it was A LARGE cost...

i am throwing a shower soon for one of my bridesmaids (I am her MOH)...
I am paying for about half. i will end up paying about $1000. Total for the shower is around $1800-$2000
