I have this killer cough-its like an itch in the back of my throat and I can not stop. Im too the point where I am coughing so hard Im getting winded-UGH and I start my new job today and Ive been up all night coughing.
Anyone know how I can get it to stop?

ughhh i'm so sorry
FH is just getting over that. He had Rx cough medicine, but Robitussin should do the trick for the new job!

It may sound silly and not sure that he would help during the day, but my Uncle was telling me the other day that if you gurgle with Apple Cider Vinegar and water before bed (don't eat anything afterwards) it kills the bacteria in your throat so you won't be up coughing all night. I personally haven't tried it but thought I would share.

Sorry you're feeling crappy...have you tried Delsym? It's suppose to quiet your cough...FSIL swears by it...feel better!

You should take a trip to the doctor when you have a chance. My mom was complaining of the same thing and she went to the doctor yesterday and found out she has walking pnuemonia. It seems to be going around.

You also stopped smoking correct? I know my mom went through this. She had to go to the doctor, cause nothing OTC worked for her. I hope you feel better soon.

I swear by those little powder packate called Emergency C - its a boost of everythign you need...or try airborne, it will cut your sick time in half....
I also do hot yoga at a studio in Dix hills and that helps kick out anything I have in my system. They crank the heat up to about a 105, so you sweat out everything.....

Is this called bikram yoga? I've heard of this.
If it doesn't go away by this weekend, go to the doctor. MY co-worker got sick, it started with a cough ended up being strep throat.

yep, is bikram or hot yoga. its awesome. I am totally addicted to it. thye have a stuio in westbury and dix hills...its 90 minutes but so worth it.
