My shower is Saturday. FH's mom gets a text from her friend that she cant come because its not a pay week but she'll make it up with a wedding gift.
My shower invites went out March 25th, she was one of the first to RSVP yes.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if more people didnt show up.
On top of it I'm sick.
I can't ever seem to win.

here is the thing. I sent the invites out March 25. She responded right away, between March 25 and May 22, she couldnt scrap together $20 and buy a gift?
My guess is better plans came along.
Shes lives on long island. FH's mom doesnt really want anything to do with her anymore.

Dont worry i was sick the whole week before my shower & that morning I woke up i was FINE.....Oh and by the way the weather is going to be soo nice this Sat...do atleast thats in your favor!!
