I REALLY want to cry right now!!!!! (sorry, it's long)

Okay, let's start with it's THAT time of the month right now, happy Freaking Valentine's day!

Next, I have not posted this but, I had surgery on my right foot on Jan 16, and have not worked, driven a car, or WALKED (on two feet) since. I have been on crutches, and have had to rely on everyone else for everything...well almost everything. It's REALLY getting to me now. Part of the surgery required my bone being set with a pin, and I cannot walk on the foot until that pin is removed...the pin is HOPEFULLY (cross ALL fingers and ) being removed on Monday Feb 20.

But I am SO utterly frustrated b/c I can't do a DARN thing! I am trying to schedule the rehearsal dinner (Um, yeah if I only knew WHERE it was going to be!!!!!), get info/pricing on dresses for the Jr BMs, etc, etc.

FH has been great, but there is only so much he can do, and he keeps telling me 'Don't worry about it' Love him, but dear, I am worrying.

Not looking for a pity party, just want help on where the F this freaking rehearsal dinner should be!!!! I have ideas, but there seems to be downfalls with each one!

I know what you mean - I can walk but i have been sick for the last 2 days - I am not the type of person to be housebound and unable to even read a book or magazine - I am depressed too right now!!!

Awwwwwww!!!! Your FH is right, don't worry about the RH, it'll all come together!! I'm in June too and we're not stressing over it!! That pin will be removed real soon and then you'll be able to get back on track with things. It's just a few more days now, you can do it!!!!!

MY FH had knee surgery last year and was in a very similiar situation where the 'positive attitude' thing just wore off and he just lost it. Know this though, after he 'lost it' it was uphill from there. Ya know that saying, ya gotta hit rock bottom first.... Well that's what happened w. him - he lost it and then slowly things started to turn around. The 20th is not far off and before you know it the hard part will be far behind!

Onto FUN stuff. RD.. where are you located? Maybe somebody can help with suggestions!

PS: I'm sure listeing to your FH say 'dont worry about it' crawls on your skin. But I have to say ,from being in his shoes, a caretaker is often at a loss for words. And we put our foot in our mouth way too often! lol

First, thank you for your insight and kind words. FH said he is so proud of me so far, and he said 'Don't lose it now'

As for RD....NO CLUE where it will be. Church is in Richmond Hill, Queens and of the 30 people that are invited to the RD, 8 live in Queens. Everyone else lives in or will be staying on Long Island (hotel). I had initially thought we'd have it in Queens, but all the places I think of, parking is an issue. Then thought of Long Island, but it's going to be a pain in the a$$ getting us all there.

Any ideas?!?!

Aw Jill...listen to Sebastian!! You've come so far and have done so much, don't lose it now!

It just seems overwhelming because you're stuck at home. But it will OK. I hope the pin does come out on Monday!!

As for the RD, there are a lot of restaurants in the Woodhaven area that are not that pricey. I had a list and of course I deleted it. But I know that there are places in the $20-30 pp range for the RD. As for how people will get there...how are they getting to the church? I was worried about this too, but like my DH said it's their job, they're all adults. You can't take care of everyone.

second, since you're stuck with online research and the phone book, try Zagat's online to get info about places near the ceremony location. I have also found that the Verizon yellow pages online is a great source of info when you're looking for something but don't know what.
