I rode my motorcycle for the first time today!!!

Go me!!!
Not the good one, but at least the little practice Honda we bought!!! We have had both for almost a year already & with my ankleinjury the beginning of the year I am just feeling confidant enough!! My uncle was so patient while I stalled in a dozen times!!!Does anyone else ride?!

DH & I are going for our permit test this friday. I am looking at a Triupmh & DH wants a Shadow or a VTX.

Thanks!! We got our permits last summer actually!! We bought our bike A LOT SOONER then we really wanted too.... and then I hurt myself & was in cast for a few months!!

I really never had any intent of riding this crappy 1980 something honda because I have a gorgeous Harley waiting for me to ride, but my uncle convinced me give the old beat up
one a shot first!! Good thing too!! I dropped it!! No injury though!!!

We are going to sign up for the motorcycle safety class at Tramas.... if you pass the course they waive the road test!!

Good luck to you guys... the permit test is easy just study that little book!!

DH attempted to teach me to ride in a parking lot earlier this summer. I loved it so much and then he had me doing all of these crazy sharp turns and I wiped out. Haven't been on it since, but it was FUN! I think I prefer to be a back seater for now.

There was NO turning today!! Literally just straight up to end of the street.... the I walked it in a uturn to go straight the other way!!! But I did take a little spill too... not too bad, like I said, I was stopped when it happened!!

I actually broke my husband's headlights when I took a spill. I felt so bad. THankfully I wasn't hurt though. You'll get the hang of the stalling thing ... I drove a stick shift car so it wasn't as hard for me.

Thank goodness you didn't hurt yourself! The headlight can be fixed!!
If I dropped the Harley, DH would been PISSED!! I did scratch the pipes on the honda a bit, but who cares!! We paid $500 for it!! If I throw it out when we are done learning I could care less!!

Good idea about that practice bike..... we will probably do the same.
What kind of Harley do you have? They are beautiful bikes.

We are going to sign up for TRAUMAS as well.... we just have to work out our schedules so we can take it together....unfortunately it will probably be after the season. It is so worth it b/c they teach not only the baics but defensive driving and crisis skills also.

I used to ride a dirt bike. I loved it. I want to learn to ride a street bike though.

Do you know of a place that you can take lessons?

TRAMAS...and if you pass their final you pass the NYS motorcycle road testTRAMAS Website

Hearzbellz... we have '03 Heritage Softail!! Black & Silver!! It's amazing looking!!
DH is going to Tramas to sign up today!!
Me hopefully next week!!

Um, no!! I ex boyfriend had one, took me for 1 ride and I swore I would never get on another bike again!! He was driving slow but I was still scared!!
