I Said YES to the Dress!!!

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend...I bet you can tellI did from the subject!

On Friday, I had appts at 3 stores and found the dress at the second store! It was the 12th dress of the day (15th total from one previous shopping experience).

My mom, two sisters, aunt and 1 BM came with me and we had such a blast!! I had found one I *really* liked at the first store, the very first one I tried on. Everyone got emotional, and I couldn't stop smiling in it. We thought it could be the one.

At the second store, we were just finishing up and chose this one last dress the consultant pulled for me. Before she even laced it up I had a really good feeling. As I was walking out to the group I was almost exploding with excitement. Then the consultant told us there was a matching cathedral veil, which I put on. BAM. Tears. From me, my mom my friend and my sister.

Then if that weren't enough, my sister asked, 'Jen, is this the dress you can see yourself marrying Tommy in?' I was speachless and just started sobbing. It was too obvious that it was the one! So that was it - I said YES!!

Now I can't stop thinking about it!! haha I want it to be April so I can wear it!! It was just the best day I couldn't have imangined it going better. We celebrated with sushi and sake for lunch!!

You look beautfiul!!! Is that the Maggie Sottero Primavera??? I recognize it b/c it's one of the maggie dresses on my list I want to try on. Congrats on saying Yes to the Dress!

Also wanted to add my experiences at the different stores. Before I give details, I had GREAT experiences at all 3 stores!

Brida Suite of Bay Shore - A+
Tamy was so sweet, so accomodating and just a pleasure to work with!! She was very helpful with getting on gowns, answering all our questions and making suggestions when asked. She gave us plenty of time and space to try on gowns!

Village Bridal of Babylon- B+
Amy was very nice and she clearly did a good job pulling dresses based on my description since she pulled the one!! She was a little distracted though when she was helping us due to a friend stopping by to chat for an extended period of time. And I had to put on the dresses myself here, whichI thought was odd. She did give us plenty of time and didn't rush us, though.

Lillette's - B
I think my experience was perhaps a little skewed because by the time we got to Lilette's I had found the dress and didn't want to confuse the issue by trying on anymore, but we kept the appt to look for bridesmaids gowns. When they found this out they just let us in the bridesmaid room and said they'd be with us soon. 20 mintues later after the girls tried on several dresses they came over to help. Only when they realized my dress was there and I hadn't ordered it yet did they start paying a little more attention. So they were nice from then on, but we didn't get any attention before that. And making a sale for 7 BM gowns is about the same as a sale on a bridal gown, am I right? But she was pleasant enough to talk with when I was trying on my dress again so I'm sure she'd be fun to work with.

The next day I went back to Bridal Suite since I had the best experience there with Tamy, and I tried on my runner up again, my dress and one more that my FSIL pulled for me. I still knew it was the one. And I even found a possible headpiece for the reception (since I obviously can't wear the cathedral veil!) and said if I ordered my dress there I could get a discount on the headpiece and the BM dresses! Based on my experience will be ordering the dress at Bridal Suite!
