I said yes to the dress!!!!
I honestly expected to be one of those brides that go to 10 stores without finding 'the one.' But nope, it was in store #3!!!
I actually can't find a picture of the dress online, and am kind of paranoid about posting it here anyway (I would post it in our FB group for you girls to see). It's an ivory strapless lace dress with pearls and embroidery, and a small cream-colored silk sash with tons of detail!! Love it!! And it elicited such a positive response from everyone, especially my gram![]()
. It was the first dress I tried on in store #3, and when I went to try on a second one, it was completely obvious that everyone was still fixated on the first dress. It's hard to explain in writing, but it was like going from a rush of emotion to 'oh, that looks nice.' While in dress #2, I was like, 'should I try on the other one again?' and everyone immediately said 'yes!!!' My gram was crying happy tears!
Oh, and all of the satin dresses I tried on made me feel like I had a 'pouch.' While I do plan on losing about 10 lbs for the wedding, this dress didn't make me feel fat at all!! Always a good thing!
