I SAID YES TO THE DRESS!!!
Just wanted to share my amazing news! I said yes to the dress yesterday!
I've posted a few times on here about a Morilee dress I was obsessed with, it's a V-neck and it's gorgeous. It was being discontinued soon though and the only store that could order it for me was Bridal Suite in Bayshore (I called 25 places). I went there and tried on dresses but didn't love anything, so we had them order the Morilee. It was a $200 transferrable deposit, so if I love the dress it will be $200 off the price and if I don't like it, we can put the $200 to anything else in the store. The dress is supposed to come in January for me to try on.
My goal was to find a backup dress by then, so that when the Morilee comes in I can try it on decide between the two.
I also tried on dresses at Burton's, but didn't love it there. Won't get into why on the message boards, though.
Anyway, I went to Bridal World in Baldwin yesterday and tried on another 10-15 dresses. My MOH, my sister, had pulled one that looked kind of plain but I said what the hell and put it on. As soon as I saw it on, I thought 'this looks really pretty!' The girl we were working with added a crystal belt and I lost it! I started crying and I had that moment everyone talks about when I could just see myself getting married. They added a veil and it was perfect.
When I asked who the designer was, it was Morilee! How funny! The other Morilee is coming in in January but we ordered the second one yesterday and I don't even think I want to try on the first one anymore :)
This is the one I was originally obsessed with, but haven't tried on yet: http://www.morilee.com/bridals/angelina_faccenda/1207
And this is the dress I said YES to! Plus a crystal belt: http://www.morilee.com/bridals/blu/4163
So funny, I thought I wanted V-neck and beading but all the ones I tried on that I liked were not V-neck. And I didn't love any of the ones with beading!
I am a classic example that you don't truly know what you love until you start trying on :)
