I saw all these church/pre cana posts, so I decided to call mine...

The secretary was very helpful (Effie Marie - love her!) and she let me know that there is something like Pre-Cana even though it's a Greek Orthodox Church. I have to set up 3 meetings with our priest about 2-3 months before the wedding and they will be one-on-one meetings with some paperwork. Seems OK!

She also told me I should be receiving a BIG packet in a couple weeks with everything I need to do before the wedding.

Thank you ladies for all those church and pre cana posts! I'm so glad I called!

hopefully your church will be better then mine with that packet. i was promised that i would receive a packet no later then January 4, i called on the 5th & they told me that didn't even start the packets for 2010 weddings yet.
what are they waiting for???

Yeah they definitely want 3 meetings. They're a little different than other Greek Churches though. I'm cool with it. I really like our priest anyway and I had to take baptismal classes with him a few months back, so I'm used to it.
