and thought it could be fun to do on our board as a way of getting to know one another and to share WR ideas =)
So, each week, we will have a different topic (A-Z) in which we will post our ideas, feeling, thoughts, etc.
I was going to post this on Monday but figured a lot of people might have been away for the holiday weekend so let's start today and then it will be every Monday =)
This week's letter is A for....Aisle Runner!
Are you planning on having an Aisle Runner? If so, how are you going to deocrate it (Monogram? Border? Color?)
Attach an image if you can... can't wait to see everyone's ideas!

Are you planning on having an Aisle Runner? Yes I am If so, how are you going to deocrate it (Monogram? Border? Color?) I am thinking of using a white aisle runner and I am going to attempt to paint my monogram on it - I've heard this isn't that hard of a task to do, but for some reason I think it might be a headache lol
First attachment is my monogram. Second attachment is an image taken from Invitations by Dawn.
Edit: pics didn't post the first time... hopefully this works.

Great idea!!!
Aisle runner - We are planning on having one..but we're not going to personalize it. I think we are just going to use the aisle runner that some limo companies supply (I think they supply it..this is what my priest told me..I'll have to look into it myself). So it will be simple and just plain white..but it is something that I def want to have but don't want to spend a lot of money on.
I LOVE the picture you posted!!

I am getting married outside (hopefully) so I dont think an aisle runner is an option for me.
I would Love to have one with our names and date but can I still do this in a garden???

you most certainly can... and is your ceremony going to be at the Riviera? Because I have seen bride's have aisle runners in the garden. I say if it's something you would really like to add, go for it!

Thanks! I may actually enlist one of my BMs (cousin) to do it because she is going to school for design and this is her field of expertise lol.

Fun Post Idea! Yay!
Unfortunately, my church doesn't allow aisle runners becasue people wipe out!
(which is prob best since I am a TOTAL spaz)

LOL CHREESTA. It make sense.
and BTW, DANIELLE - check with the Riviera to make sure it's ok to have an aisle runner outside because I remember Mary saying something about not having one inside because people slip on it or trip and they would rather not have them at all. But that was for an indoor wedding, not sure about outside.

Re: I saw this on one of the Knot boards...
I never really thought of doing an aisle runner.
but I don't think it's really an option for me anyway because the aisle isn't exactly traditional -the ceremony is at Flowerfield and there is a pond with a really pretty white bridge and I walk over the bridge to the other side.
Plus I've heard lots of horror stories about it not staying in place and people falling. I have the coordination of a learning-to-walk child so it's just not a good idea in my world.

I don't think we're going to have an aisle runner. Ceremony is at the RH so we might take that sacrifice.

This is a great idea!!! Your pictures look great.
I have not given much thought to the idea of an aisle runner, but I also have not picked a reception hall or really done anything for that matter. It is something that I would like to look into at some point though, and it will be nice to be able to look back on this for ideas.

Most limo companies do supply aisle runners but I just like the idea of having a custom one. I am not planning on decorating the church much so this will add a personal touch to the ceremony.

Re: I saw this on one of the Knot boards...
Hey, Riviera girls, I think the aisle runner idea for outside should be fine because the 'aisle' walkway is concrete. So there shouldn't be a problem with putting it down on top of the concrete. I was in a wedding there in May and didn't have any kind of runner, it looked nice IMO but I am sure it would love great with a runner. Inside there may be a problem because they set up the seating and everything on the dance floor so maybe it will be too slippery. But the BM there should be able to tell you.
