I shouldn't be blue on my birthday but...

I am going to my parents' house for dinner and DH is in class, but my brother will be there with his fiance. I feel blue because it is my birthday and I can't share it with my DH but everyone else will have a partner

Sorry, just a little pity party. I feel bad too because I know my mom made a nice dinner for me, but I wish DH would be there, too.

Uh, hi Mom, hi Dad, Kris couldn't make it to dinner but my friend Palebride will be his stand in

It's only dinner at my parents' house, but it feels weird to be two couples and me alone
I kind of wish I could go, eat and leave. I don't want to sit and make small talk. I feel like a loser.

Oh yeah, and this birthday is also sad because it just pales in comparison to being on my honeymoon in Italy for my birthday. Turning 28 on the 28th was a good thing for me. We were in Capri. We went to the Blue Grotto and went to Anacapri and rode the cable cars and had a nice dinner and DH had flowers sent to the room and the hotel brought us champagne...

And this year I won't see DH until 11PM
