He was packing for his trip and packing turned into cleaning out the walk in closet. I was just laying around being sick when he sat down next to me, without saying a word.
I looked up and he was wearing this JFK mask leftover from a past Halloween. I screamed, smacked him, started to cry a little bit and ripped at the mask to get it off of him.
He LAUGHED at me, 'Who the hell did you think it could have been?'
I'm still not over it. And I still can't believe that I smacked him.

It sounds like he deserved it. It also sounds like your DH and my DH need to meet because they are somehow secretly related to each other.

you should be HAPPY you smacked him. first reaction was to defend yourself...very good.
and he now knows NOT to do that to you, unless he feels like an a$$ kickin every now and again.

i gave an ex- a black eye once when he creeped up behind me on the stairs. my gut reaction is to punch...and i don't punch like the skinny 100 pound twig that I am.
