I SOOOO NEEDED TO VENT THIS!

I am sooooo ****ed!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were supposed to leave today (my dh and my family) for PA. I rented a house for them as a Xmas gift and we were supposed to leave this morning and obviously could not. So my dh calls the man who we rent fromand tells him that we arent sure if we can make it there and he tells us oh well. *** is that?? Oh well?? We cant control the weather. I wanted money back for at least the day we werent there that we paid for or I wanted to take a week in the summer instead but he says he cant do that. Thats so unfair. Not to mention the fact that my sis now has the **** flu and I got the wonderful woman thing this morning and I have BAD CRAMPS!!!!!!! I just so needed to vent, this snow is such a hassle!Not to mention that now I may be out of 2000 that I really dont have to just waste.

My mom is so sad and my 15 year old brother..well that goes without saying..hes 15 and disappointed! So im trying to make the best of it and baking cookies for dh and brother who is here but its not helping. I just feel so sad, mad and upset. You think we should try to travel tonight? We take route 80 to get there. I dont know if we should chance it or not??

I'm sorry about this. Snow ****s!! I would be VERY careful. I've heard Route 80 is VERY dangerous in these conditions. Good Luck.

This guy should of had compassion. Its probably just as bad there if not even worse. He should of had some type of compassion, but apparently all he cared about was the money and that if he gave you back a day its money he would loose.

What goes around comes around. I hope he gets hit so hard with snow that he looses business.

Route 80 tonight is going to be really bad. FI's mom lives in the Pocono's and thats what we take to visit her and in weather like this its going to be bad

Did you sign a contract with this guy, look in your contract if there is anything that says something about bad weather and not being able to make it.

If you had in your contract about bad weather or circumstances beyond your control that would prevent you from coming then you would have an argument with the guy, but because there is nothing in your contract you are obligated to be there on such and such a date.

I am so sorry to be a downer, but with this guy all he sounds like is strictly business and not someones feelings.

I would tell this guy off.

Can you cancel this and get your money back?? I know its a x-mas gift but its not worth the pain and aggrivation and this guy isnt worth your money. There are a lot of other nice places in PA and even in upstate NY (the catskills have a lot of nice places) that will be a lot more accomodating and i am sure a lot nicer

I dont know what to do! What makes me even more mad is that we have rented from him for the past 3 years so he knows us and he knows that we are good for everything. Its not like this is a little storm that we didnt want to travel in...we literally couldnt! Thats what ****s! Some people **** me off so much. And my dh is such a calm patient person so he is always telling me to relax and that he will take care of it. But his way of taking care of it is to do nothing! Drives me nuts sometimes to be honest! Thanks for all the advice though! With the way I feel right now (with my woman thing) I think everyone should BEWARE!

just take it easy. Baking cookies sounds like a fun thing. Warm cookies and milk on a cold snowy day is always the best.
