I know it's really soon but I wanted to put a few things on there in case anyone wanted to buy gifts for the engagement party. I am going to Fortunoff this weekend (Sunday) to look at china.

its not to soon! your getting married before me and we did our registry in october! people wanted to buy us engagement gifts....money would have been nicer but you can exactly request that! so i figure its better to register and get stuff i want then a whole lotta stuff that doesnt match! some stuff has been bought not a ton.....but dont do linens....that stuff gets discontinued often!

People, I gotta say- It is fun to register because people are buying all this stuff for you! It doesn't get better than that!!!!
I am also registering at BBB & possibly Target. I heard bad things about Target but they got great stuff.

I agree! FH can't seem to get that part of it. Every time we go he wants to buy something. I think that is a male thing, needing instant gratification.

BBB is definitely a good choice and you have plenty of time to decide about Target. I have never heard anything specific about Target, only that everybody has heard bad things.

There are always multiple couples registering when we go. It is funny because we never noticed any until we got engaged and now that is all we see when we go.

My family and FH's family already started buying us stuff from our registries over christmas. I think we'll only get gifts from our registries from now until we get married

CONGRATS! FH & I plan on getting that done as soon as we return from our vacation. But Fortunoffs, Pottery Barn & Crate & Barrel are wonderful for all couples needs. Only one thing i recently heard that Fortunoff's was claiming bankruptcy & that Lord & Taylor were suppossed to take them over. Only I think they pulled out. So im concerned & need to find out the details before I decide to register there. I suggest others do the same.
