Re: I STILL HAVE NO....
Leave brochures lying around to give him the hint. If you want to be really mean, leave brochures for places he totally would never want to visit in a million years. That way, he'll have to take action!!

Re: I STILL HAVE NO....
We are going to Hawaii but with 5 months to go and no tickets or reservations, I am starting to get nervous. We went away this past summer and planned that vacation 8 months in advance BEFORE we were engaged.

Make the appointment to meet with the travel agent.. then that gives him no choice..

Re: I STILL HAVE NO....
I realize your wedding is 4 months before mine, but if it makes you feel any better, we don't have our bands or HM booked either. Men!

Definitely start looking into the HM! Hawaii is VERY popular for honeymoons. You want to get your firs tchoice resorts and flights.

Re: I STILL HAVE NO....
I tried to explain that I do not want to nag. I asked him to tell me what is frustrating me the most about the wedding and he was able to say it immediately. I said flat out, that Mom was giving us her miles and if we have to use MORE miles because of HIS procrastination, then we will be lucky if we go to Splish Splash. The honeymoon is the one thing I left for him and asked him to do and it isn't getting done. EVERYTHING else is moving SMOOOOOTH.

I think if you book 4-5 months in advance you should be fine...plus Im sure you'll get a good deal...especially if you're going off season

Re: I STILL HAVE NO....
If you are using miles are you sure you can wait 5 months before?? (maybe call without him knowing to check the availability) and then let him know kindly in a completely non nagging way that it is around the corner and you would love to have it done so he (and you of course) would have less to worry about...and maybe a month or so more to pay it off. Leaving brochures sounds like a good idea...

Re: I STILL HAVE NO....
Honestly, I am tired of doing all of the planning. I am not making any calls. He is a big boy and if he can't handle this one thing, then he will have to deal with my eternal disappointment of a ruined honeymoon. I finally got excited about going somewhere and it has the potential for disaster. We cannot afford plane tickets to Hawaii. They are a gift to us with Mom's miles.
It reminds me of how my brother in law forgot my sister's first Mother's Day. He tried to run out at like 10pm to get her a card. NOW every year she gets a new piece of jewelry which may sound nice, but to me would be an annual reminder of a major screw up.

I know how you feel- I'm a football widow too! Guess I'll have to wait until Feb until we do more planning. Is it wrong that I secretly hope that the Jets are bad this season?

Aaaahhh yeah...men... especially those football heads...my FH is not so much into watching football and baseball but more into playing it...comes home every Sunday bruised up, hurtin...and then I have to rub him and take of him....what the $%*@! We should strike! No lovin until they roll up them sleeves and do some wedding planning!

Re: I STILL HAVE NO....
Thats the thing. He made plan reservations MONTHS in advance to travel across the country for his Fantasy draft. I never stop him from what he loves. Football is his passion. But my passions should count for something too. I just want the consideration.

I totally agree. Get brochures of like Iceland or Zimbabwe.
