Not sure where everyone lives, but I just moved into a complex back in Sept. In Deer Park. Dix Hills Apartments. You can check them out online.

As far as reasonably priced, thats hard to find on Long Island. You can check out fairhavenapartments.com. They have complexes in Carle Place, Mineola, Hicksville and I think Suffolk. I lived in the Hicksville ones for several years. They were nice. Now, I think a 2 bedroom is around 1500-1600 a month, if not more. Good Luck.

Heatherwood Apt. Complexes are located throughout Suffolk, and offer studio, 1 br and 2 br apts for rent on 1st and 2nd floors. Try them, or any Fairfield Apt. Complex. I live in Heatherwood Apt complex in PJS.

I live at Heatherwood in Port Jeff St too, and I reccomend it. Our apartment had brand new carpets and cabinets when we move in, and is very bright and clean.

I'm also looking for a new apt and was considering Fairhaven at Hicksville. Is it a nice neighborhood? Is the pre-screening process lengthy?

I second Craigslist. That's how FH and I found our apartment (a month until we move in! Ahhhh!)
What is your pricerange? Reasonably priced means a lot of different things to different people...

Re: I still live at home...
i also agree with craigslist. FH and i found our new apt. there.
if you want, go under Apt.s wanted section , and post and ad giving a descript. of you and FH. (age, job, pets, etc.) and state what you are looking for, and landlords can email you!
that's how we found our place. we did look at listing on the apt. section, but ultimately an ad i placed for us, saying we were a couple about to marry, looking for a place, led me to the apt. we just got last week!

Re: I still live at home...
Try the Lake Grove apartments. I know someone that lives their and they do not seem that high for a 2 bedroom.

Re: I still live at home...
My MOH has been living at South Point at Massapeua for about 2 years. It is lovely there!! If I was looking to rent a great place, I'd live there too! It is near Sunrise- lots of shops, allows pets and you get a parking space or two! Here's their website:
